Five Thrings lawyers have been named among the best in their fields of law in a series of recently unveiled listings.

The quintet, based across the firms’ Bath, Swindon and Romsey offices, feature in four categories of the Business Today Lawyer Awards 2023.

The media outlet, which utilises open-sourced intelligence for its reporting, judges its various categories based on publicly available reviews, rankings on professional platforms and recommendations and endorsements from industry analysts and peers.

John Davies, Partner in the Corporate team, features in the list of influential lower mid-market M&A lawyers in the Thames Valley, highlighting his renown for “adept handling of a variety of corporate and commercial concerns”.

Acknowledging his “astounding understanding of land development and tax planning”, Mark Charter, Partner in the Agriculture team, features as a “legal trailblazer” in the list of Agri-Law influencers across the South of England.

Also from the Agriculture team, Partner Neil Barbour is listed among the top Rural Affairs Lawyers across the South West, having been noted as a “reputable figure in agricultural conveyancing matters, consistently delivering impressive results”.

Meanwhile, from the Family team, both Partner Sally Pike and Senior Associate Kate Barber feature amongst the top Family Lawyers from Southampton impacting matrimonial law over the past year, recognised respectively for their “crucial advice in high-value matrimonial finance cases” and “proficiency on matrimonial finance matters”.

Inclusion in the lists further cements the impressive credentials of all five lawyers, who are all ranked by Chambers and Partners, with the four Partners all listed as Tier 1.

Welcoming the announcement, Simon Holdsworth, Managing Partner, said: “It is always great to see our staff acknowledged for the brilliant work they do and I am pleased to see so many colleagues featuring in these latest listings from across a range of highly competitive regional areas.”
