Last week Thrings’ Hampshire-based partners Rachel Brooks and Mary Chant took their places in the studio at BBC Radio Solent - the local BBC radio service for Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight – to give their own unique perspectives on the biggest online news stories of the week.

Commercial law expert Mary – who joined Thrings earlier this month – and Rachel, a private client specialist, made their broadcasting bows on the Saturday’s Breakfast Show, which was hosted by Katie Martin.

The pair, who are both well-established and highly-regarded members of the Hampshire business community, are joining other leading figures from across the region in sharing and dissecting the biggest, funniest and quirkiest stories of the week.

More than a quarter of a million listeners from the region tune in to BBC Radio Solent every week.

Ahead of their radio debuts, Mary and Rachel sought tips and advice about effective broadcasting from commercial partners Jane Oakland and Ramona Derbyshire, who regularly review the news for BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Wiltshire respectively.
