Mike’s role at Thrings involves advising lenders, investors and borrowers in relation to a wide range of investment and secured lending facilities and arrangements. He has a huge amount of experience in leading large domestic and international sales and acquisitions.

With a wide range of commercial clients, Mike has the ability to act as an extension of his clients’ teams in order to achieve their commercial aims. Alongside his general role in the commercial and corporate practice, Mike is also a member of the firm’s Technology and Innovation Team, assisting clients in the sector on all aspects of a technology business’ life.

Key Experience

Mike’s relevant experience includes:

  • acting for the Lovehoney Group in relation to their purchase of Coco de Mer Limited from its owners the Roddick family
  • equity fund-raising for a large number and variety of businesses, including Wessex Grain Limited
  • advising several large banks in relation to secured lending, acquisition finance growth capital and other work
  • acting in the sale of Deltaform Limited by its founder shareholders to Par-Pak Europe (part of The Waddington Group)
  • advising specialist high-end cycle importer Saddleback Limited in relation to several key exclusive agency and distribution arrangements
