    Kate is a Partner in Thrings’ Commercial Property team, specialising in Development of Land and advising developers, investors and landowners on a wide range of development projects, particularly in relation to housebuilding.

    With expertise in all aspects of the development process, Kate has successfully partnered with regional developers to take their projects from initial investigations under exclusivity agreements through site acquisition, development, site set-up and plot sales, dealing with options, conditional contracts, development agreements and overage deeds.

    Kate also has significant experience in dealing with complex multi-owner site acquisitions, title defects, unusual rights requirements and ground rent sales.

    • Acting on a regeneration project to develop a care home, assisted living facility, GP surgery and pharmacy, working with colleagues from procurement, construction and corporate teams to support our client through a tender process, appointing contractors, dealing with funding and development and operation agreements
    • Acting for a PLC housebuilding on complex site set up and ground rent sales
    • Acting on the purchase of a large multi-use site including a private airfield and working with clients on the re-development of the site including dealing with plot disposals, terminations of licences and tenancies and conditional agreements, build leases and long leases.
    • I also spent some time working in government legal, advising on the development and administration of property taxes including SDLT and ATED, capital allowances, and taxes on property income.
