Associate

Dan is an Associate in our Dispute Resolution team, based in our Bristol office. Dan trained with Thrings and qualified in December 2021.

Dan acts for and advises a variety of clients, ranging from individuals and SMEs to national and multinational corporations, on a wide range of disputes, such as:

Construction and engineering disputes;
Contractual disputes;
Intellectual property disputes;
Partnership disputes;
Professional negligence disputes;
Reputation Management including claims for defamation; and
Shareholder and director disputes.

Having acted for clients at a pre-action stage right through to trial and enforcement, Dan is experienced in successfully negotiating and settling disputes at all stages of litigation.

Advising an international company on the impact of the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 and making an application for a licence from OFSI;
Assisting a range of clients, including a well-known national food retailer, in respect of breach of contract claims;
Advising on and resolving a number of shareholder and director disputes;
Acting for a general partner in negotiating and concluding the dissolution and settlement of a general partnership;
Litigating in the High Court in respect of an alleged breach of confidentiality provisions and the availability of negotiating damages;
Acting for individuals in bringing Professional Negligence claims against regulated professionals, including solicitors; and
Acting for Frank Warren in his claim for defamation against boxer, Chris Eubank Jr.
