The completion of the IPO is the third that Thrings has acted on in 2016, and follows the listings of acquisition vehicle daVictus plc (DVT) in January and Bluebird Merchant Ventures Ltd (BMV) in April.
Vale International Group has been formed specifically with the purpose of making acquisitions in Europe and Asia, including technology businesses which own, or are developing, intellectual property used within the financial services (fintech) industry.
Led by non-executive chairman and Global Angels founder, Patrick Tsang, the group’s objective will be to operate acquired companies and businesses, and generate value for shareholders through operational expansion, improvements and complementary acquisitions.
Stockbrokers Optiva Securities Limited received legal advice on the IPO from Thrings’ London-based corporate partner, Jonathan Morris, and corporate solicitor, Jack Delaney. The reporting accountant was Crowe Clark Whitehill LLP’s London office.
Jonathan Morris said: “Thrings is delighted to have been able to assist Optiva Securities Limited in bringing Vale International Group to market against the backdrop of difficult market conditions, which we expect will improve in the fourth quarter.”
Jeremy King of Optiva Securities Limited added: “We were all very pleased to work with the board of Vale International Group on its successful IPO and look forward to assisting as the search for an acquisition target progresses in the developing fintech space.”
