Thrings ranked among best UK firms for training lawyers

Thrings trainees ranked among best in UK

Thrings has again been ranked highly in this year’s Legal 500 Future Lawyers guide making it one of the best firms in the UK for trainees.

The Legal 500 Future Lawyers is the student guide to the top UK law firms. It asks current trainees to rate their firm in 14 different categories with awards for those firms who score in the top 20.

Thrings achieved top 20 ranking in the UK in six categories sealing its reputation as one of the best firms in the country for trainee contracts.

  • Job Satisfaction
  • Quality of work
  • Work/Life balance
  • Social Life
  • Working from home
  • Approachability of supervisors

Fiona Kellow, Partner and Thrings Training Principle, said: “These results are fantastic. We are so proud to have achieved the highest ranking in these categories and maintain our consistent high ranking within the guide. We place huge importance on our training programme and our rounded experiences for our student lawyers and to be recognised by them is enormously rewarding.”

One trainee said in the survey: “Thrings’ excellent reputation and geographical coverage combined with its collaborative culture make it stand out in comparison to other law firms.

“Trainees are given more opportunity to be heavily involved in a matter, as opposed to working in the background and have responsibility for our own case load – essentially a real experience of being a solicitor.”

Other categories in the survey were; client contact, inclusiveness, salary, sustainability, vacation scheme, confidence at being kept on, legal technology and international secondments.

Thrings has offices in Romsey, London, Bristol, Bath, and Swindon, and recently added teams in the Wye Valley through a merger with Okells FrancisLaw.
