Thrings continues support for the Oxford Farming Conference

Thrings supports oxford farming conference

Thrings is proud to continue its longstanding commitment to the Oxford Farming Conference, as this year’s event focuses on “the power of diversity”.

Returning on Wednesday, January 3, the three-day conference will be bringing together people from all corners of the agricultural, rural and food sectors to encourage a diverse range of thinking and generate ideas and positive solutions for the future – on areas from innovation and alternative income streams to labour and bringing new people to the industry.

Having supported the rural sector for more than a century, Thrings continues to support the conference as both an overall event sponsor and programme sponsor for this year’s event. This year will see Sarah Dunning OBE, Chair of Westmorland Limited, talk about her family’s story of innovation and inspiration.

Duncan Sigournay, Thrings’ Head of Agriculture, said: “We are pleased to continue our long-running association with the Oxford Farming Conference, an event steeped in history but continuing to look forward in tackling the most pressing issues faced by the sector. Our team will again be out in force at the conference.

“Encouraging diversity in farming and agriculture is important to ensuring its long-term stability, helping to make the sector accessible and attractive to people from all walks of life. Without it, we stand to lose out on fantastic individuals who have the potential to bring in innovations and advancements that will be of benefit to everyone.”

Thrings’ Agriculture team is one of the largest of its kind in the UK with decades of experience in successfully supporting its farming and landowner clients to achieve their aims and the potential for their business. Its lawyers are ranked in the highest tier by both the prestigious Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners directories and have been chosen by the NFU to act for its members in more countries than any other firm.
