Thrings continues support for TBE Awards as headline sponsor

The TBE awards

The innovation and entrepreneurial talent of the South West’s business community will be celebrated later this year as the TBE Awards opens for applications – with Thrings returning as headline sponsor.

Having been launched last year by the Business Exchange, the awards celebrate the region’s most progressive and dynamic organisations and individuals, shining a light on the incredible success stories across 14 exciting and diverse categories.

As well as being headline sponsor, Thrings are also sponsoring the “Flying the Flag for the South West category, which recognises the efforts being made to see the South west recognised on the global and national stages.

Thrings Partner Kate Westbrook returns as part of the judging panel, having not only helped to identify winners of last year inaugural awards, but for many years as part of the panel of the TBE Awards’ predecessor the Techies.

Applications opened at a launch event, hosted at Thrings’ Swindon office, with an array of local businesses, sponsors and previous winners of the awards all in attendance to hear from a range of mini panels about what makes a good entry and what it means to win.

Entries to the TBE Awards are open until midnight on Tuesday, 30 September with the winners announced at a special awards night on Thursday, 6 November.

Kate Westbrook, Thrings’ Head of Commercial and TBE Awards Judge, said: “The South West has for years been a hub of innovation and hard work, and we’re proud to help showcase the expertise and achievement in our own back yard.

“The TBE Awards are an excellent way to get your organisation some well-earned recognition and we can’t recommend entering enough. After last year’s incredible array of entries, we’re excited to be back and to see what amazing things businesses have been up to over the past year so come and tell us!”

Anita Jaynes, Founder and Editor of the Business Exchange, added: “I’m really excited to be working with Kate and the Thrings team after last year’s awards and cannot thank them enough for their continued support for our region’s business community.

“Entering the TBE Awards is about more than just trying to win, it is a great way to raise your profile regionally and reflect on your personal and team achievements. With such a wide variety of categories celebrating everything from leadership and teamwork to sustainability and innovation with tech, there will certainly be something to help draw out your organisation’s strengths!”
