Thrings shortlisted for training and recruitment award

Fiona Kellow - head of Private Client and Thrings’ training lead - has been shortlisted in the Best Training Principal (small trainee intake) category in the annual LawCareers.Net Training & Recruitment Awards.

LawCareers.Net is a comprehensive, one-stop online resource - published in association with the Law Society and the Bar Council – which provides information, news and advice designed to help users manage their research and maximise their chances of breaking into the legal profession.

The awards results are based on an extensive survey where more than 2,000 trainee and newly-qualified solicitors assessed their experiences and scored their firm on a number of criteria related to recruitment, training, work placement schemes and training principals.

Fiona said: “Being shortlisted for such a prestigious award is, in many ways, validation of the work HR, our trainee supervisors, and, of course, the trainees themselves have been focused on over the past six months to provide higher levels of support for trainees and junior lawyers.

“In December we launched the Thrings Academy, we’ve carried out a comprehensive review of our trainee recruitment policies and processes, introduced a new two-day trainee induction process, and have a dedicated trainee page on our intranet. Everything we have done – and are continuing to do – is geared towards ensuring Thrings captures and retains the very best future talent.”
