Legal Walk 2018

Lawyers and business support staff from Thrings are to take on the 10km Bristol Legal Walk in support of organisations providing pro bono legal help and advice in the South West region.

Organisers South West Legal Support Trust (SWLST) work hard to ensure support centres in the region remain open and staffed in order to offer vital services to vulnerable individuals.

The after-work hike around Bristol city centre on 17 May will bring together people from the judiciary, law firms, chambers, government departments, in-house legal teams - their friends, family and even a few dogs!

Alexia Aradipiotis, who has assembled the team of Thrings walkers explains: “Cuts in government and local authority funding have led to a reduction in the level of support services available to those in real need of legal representation and advice.

“The Legal Walk is a great event bringing together law firms to secure funds for these much needed services.”

Currently representing Team Thrings in the challenge to raise funds for the charity are Alexia, Ben Tarrant, Bethan Edwards, Caitlin Mills, Christopher Cole, Dan Langan, Holly Manners, Hannah Vasey, Joana Abreu Jackson, Lyn Weber, Peter Wilkie, Prathiba Mistry, Richard Darbinian, Scott Robins and Tracey Barnfield.
