One week to go

Businesses have until January 22nd 2018 to make their case in writing to Newsquest Wiltshire’s judging panel, showing why they are a cut above the rest in one or more of the 10 categories.

Among the categories is the brand new Corporate, Social and Environmental Responsibility Award – with all entrants gaining automatic entry into the Thrings-sponsored Outstanding Excellence Award.

Other categories include: Business Person of the Year; Learning and Development Employer of the Year Award; Creative Awareness Award; Customer and Staff Care Award; Medium Sized Enterprise Award; Start Up Business of the Year; Service to the Community Award; and the Small Business Award.

Thrings, as a long-time supporter of the annual event, helped to launch the 2018 awards with more than 100 businesses at its Swindon office last October.

We are pleased to be marking the next stage in the process with a ‘Meet the Judges’ event on the 8th February, again to be held at Thrings’ Drakes Meadow premises. The evening offers the shortlisted businesses a chance to pick the judges’ brains and see who they are up against.

Thrings partner Ramona Derbyshire, a long-term member of the awards’ judging panel, said: “After having put their hearts and souls into producing top-notch submissions, the region’s businesses now have the chance to make an impression face-to-face.

“The most go-getting of them will make the most of the opportunity to draw on the experience of the judging panel to help them land the top prizes. We wish them the very best of luck and salute the outstanding contribution these forward-thinking businesses are making to the Wiltshire region.”

Judges will make visits to the shortlisted businesses’ operational sites in March – a final chance to show what they are made of.

The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at Center Parcs Longleat on 20 April 2018.
