  • advising an employment agency accused in a Channel 4 documentary of exploiting workers, which included writing to Channel 4 in defence of the client
  • defending a gangmaster couple in a high-profile case in which they were accused of modern slavery. Thrings helped the couple reach a settlement with the claimants, with a value of around £1 million
