Anna acts on a wide range of commercial property and development deals as part of our Development of Land team. In particular, she has expertise in the acquisition of complex commercial, residential and mixed-use sites.

Anna qualified into the London Commercial Property team in September 2012, and was promoted to an Associate in May 2017. She works with a variety of clients predominantly commercial landlords and tenants, investors and property developers.

A large part of Anna's work involves drafting and negotiating rights of light releases, access and oversail licences, deeds of grant for rights of way, party wall awards, contractual sale and lease documentation. She liaises with construction and planning colleagues on complex warranties and planning agreements.

Development of Land

Acting for developers, investors and individuals, Anna brings a broad range of experience to commercial property and development deals. She has performed a variety of roles within projects, including title due diligence, site assembly, complex deeds of release in respect of rights to light over neighbouring properties, contractual sale and leasing documentation, and negotiating leases with access rights.

Anna's relevant experience includes:

  • acting for a developer client on a mutual access licence over property in central London to enable a mixed-use scheme for 42 residential flats, a retail and restaurant arcade, and associated parking to be built out
  • acting for an individual on the preparation of various oversail licences with affected neighbours in order to facilitate the construction of a basement at their private dwelling house
  • acting for an investor on a deed of release and re-grant of an emergency escape route over an adjacent property in the City of Westminster in order to preserve the client's easement with a view to any future re-development of the building
  • acting for a developer in regularising the occupation of its mixed use estate and preventing any prescriptive rights being acquired prior to the redevelopment of the site, including title due diligence, site investigation, issuing licences for the occupation of the roof space with lift and shift provisions, entering into car park licences that are terminable on notice, and negotiating short leases with access rights for the landlord in order to accommodate its works
  • advising on the property aspects of a prestigious residential scheme in central London at a value of £220m
