Tenants to meet energy efficiency standards?

The BREEAM sustainability assessment method seems to be working as far as new builds are concerned, but the same cannot be said for existing structures, with most landlords and tenants still to fully engage with new Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES).

Commercial property partner at Thrings, Steve Schofield, warns how tenants could find themselves responsible for meeting the requirements placed on their landlords.
