Moving from tourist accommodation to a single dwelling might not be a simple as it seems.

A growing number of British farmers are diversifying as a means of generating additional revenue. One such approach is converting farm buildings into hotels and bed and breakfasts.

But how common – and how straightforward – is the process when it comes to doing the opposite?

In this month’s Business Clinic, planning solicitor Fred Quartermain advises the owner of a C1 farm building, which has historically been used for tourist accommodation, who is considering changing it into a single dwelling.
