Business South welcomes Thrings to Champion programme

Network of 200 Champions, partners and stakeholders supports regional economic development

Thrings has joined Business South’s Champion programme, a business community that has been established for over a decade, connecting business leaders to deliver change, growth, and promotion for the south of England.

Thrings opened its new offices at Stuart Court on Hampshire’s historic Broadlands estate near Romsey last year, and the new partnership with Business South has helped to further connect the firm with the local business community.

The new premises extend Thrings’ UK footprint beyond its existing offices in London, Bristol, Bath and Swindon, while supporting its future expansion plans and long-term commitment to clients in Hampshire.

The firm’s Hampshire-based experts provide legal and strategic advice to a wide range of businesses, landed estates and private individuals, many of whom require support and advice in the closely-related practice areas of agriculture, agribusiness and private affairs.

With clients which include entrepreneurs, start-ups, SMEs, rural businesses, corporates and multinationals in a range of industry sectors, Thrings’ client base has a natural synergy with the Business South Champion programme.

“Business South is a network of like-minded professionals with a high calibre of members that Thrings is delighted to be a part of,” says Mary Chant, Commercial partner at Thrings.

“Partnerships are hugely important to us, and organisations that help to establish and strengthen those business-to-business partnerships are invaluable for us as a business and for the overall regional economy.”

“The professional and business services sector is a significant contributor to our regional economy and the Champion programme reflects this with a large proportion of our members and partners coming from this sector,” explains Leigh-Sara Timberlake, Champion director at Business South.

“Reputable legal firms such as Thrings are a great asset to our business community and we look forward to connecting them with our other members and partners.”

Established in 2007, Business South is the independent representative of businesses in the South of England, supporting the prosperity of the region by bringing together business leaders, educators, public bodies and entrepreneurs to create a dominant and powerful force for change and growth.

Over the last decade, the Champion programme has grown to 200 Champions and partners, with 85 per cent of Champions making connections and doing business as a result of being a Champion.
