Qualification success as former trainees boost firm’s offering to clients.

Seven legal professionals from Thrings’ current cohort of trainees will remain with the firm after securing positions as newly qualified solicitors.

Amelia Watson and Lorna Medcraft (both Commercial Property), Chloe Williams and Matt Cornforth (both Corporate), Bethan Hill-Howells and Hannah Jenkins (both Family), and Annahita Roohi (Commercial Dispute Resolution) will boost Thrings’ offering to clients after successfully completing their training contracts.

Meanwhile, Thrings has also appointed three new trainees: Victoria Tallis, Mohammed Algrieri and Daisy McCaulder.

As trainees, Victoria and Mohammed will gain experience of contentious and non-contentious work in different practice areas during the course of four six-month seats. They will also receive ongoing professional and personal support and guidance from senior team members through the firm’s ‘buddy’ system, as well as organising and participating in social events and charity days. Fiona Kellow, head of Private Client and Thrings’ training principal, says: “We are delighted that, despite the current pandemic conditions, we have such a strong cohort of trainees qualifying within the firm. Many of our specialist teams are seeking to grow and being able to do this organically provides an exciting way forward.

“Investment in our trainees is extremely important to us, and we know that by recruiting from this base, we are bringing in top-quality lawyers who will enhance their respective teams and ensure our clients continue to receive the high-level legal advice they have come to expect of us.

“On behalf the firm, I would like to congratulate the seven newly qualified solicitors, as well as Victoria and Mohammed, for securing positions. We wish them all the very best as they move forward with their careers.”

The qualifying trainees will be the first to experience Thrings’ Newly Qualified Induction Scheme, in which they will undergo a comprehensive training induction process and fall into the Thrings Trainee Academy, which provides soft skills and technical support and training.
