With one week to go, the countdown has begun for businesses to compete for a coveted Wiltshire Business Award.

If you think your business, department or an individual is a cut above the rest, submit your entry to one or more of the following categories by January 28 2019:

  • Best Business to work for of the Year
  • Business Person of the Year
  • Corporate, Social and Environmental Responsibility Award
  • Customer & Staff Care Award
  • Learning & Development Employer of the Year Award
  • Medium Sized Enterprise of the Year
  • Micro Business/Sole Trader of the Year
  • Service to the Community Award
  • Small Business of the Year
  • Start Up Business of the Year
  • Overall Excellence Award

Gemma Featonby, awards judge and partner at law firm Thrings, says: “Businesses don’t always realise that all submissions are automatically entered for the Overall Excellence Award, which is sponsored by Thrings.

“Helping us understand what your business is about, what your unique selling point is and what makes you exceptional will be just as important as the information you put forward for your specific category.

“Since applicants vary from multimillion-pound national enterprises to SMEs or sole traders, we draw no direct comparisons. No one business is the same or in a better position to win than any other. Instead, each applicant is judged on its own merit. We’re looking for the X-factor.”

The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at Center Parcs Longleat on 10 May 2019.
