Thrings has begun its hunt for its next generation of trainee lawyers with the launch of this summer’s Vacation Scheme.
Providing prospective trainees with a first-hand account of what it means to work for the award-winning firm, the programme will give an immersive experience of its core sectors of Agriculture, Banking and Finance, Business Growth, Development of Land, and Private Client.
Successful applicants will be invited to take part in a week-long placement in July, meeting colleagues in the firm’s Bath, Bristol or Swindon offices and participating in a series of assessment centre activities, which will contribute towards securing training contracts starting from September 2023.
With a strong background in developing legal minds, Thrings’ trainee scheme has created generation after generation of accomplished lawyers over the years, with a third of partners at the firm having started in law through the program.
The two-year contracts provide experience in four areas of law, with trainees spending six months in each seat across the firm’s seven offices, receiving full exposure to clients and opportunities to play a key role of the firm’s wider professional and social networks.
Fiona Kellow, Thrings Training Principal, said: “At Thrings, we take the development of our trainees seriously, giving them a well-rounded experience over the two years they are with us, with the quality education, the opportunities and the support they need to become outstanding lawyers.
“The Vacation Scheme is a fantastic way to give graduates an insight into what makes our firm such a great place to work and to train, and we look for them to use that time to really demonstrate what makes them an ideal candidate.”
